Uterus fibroid/ovarian cyst
TESTIMONIAL FOR DR. CHEN
When I first came to see Dr. Chen in July, 2005, I had a
"seroma" which is fluid or serum that has accumulated in a dead space in the
body. On a sonogram the seroma looked like a 14 cm cyst! As a result of
abdominal surgery I had in December of 2004, so much fluid had accumulated in
my abdomen that it had pushed my uterus forward and to the left side of my
body.
I also had a fibroid in my uterus that you could feel if you
ran your hands across my stomach. It sat a good inch to the left of my belly
button and was very hard to the touch. Dr. Chen suggested I come for
acupuncture treatments twice a week for 5 weeks. I was also taking an herbal
formula twice a day, 7 days a week. Within that short time period my fibroid
got softer and the seroma began to shrink. I could actually feel my uterus
slowly moving back toward the center of my body with my hands.
At the end of the first series of treatments I felt so
encouraged by the progress we'd made that I signed up for a second series with
Dr. Chen. Halfway through it, the fibroid disappeared altogether! My stomach
was suddenly soft all over and you couldn't feel my uterus anymore. (After
years of trying to have a "hard body" stomach I was suddenly overjoyed that it
was soft and squishy.) The fluid that had been filling my abdomen had begun to
be reabsorbed into my body.
Although I haven't had a second sonogram yet to tell my how
much smaller the "cyst" has become, the change in what I can actually feel with
my hands is enough to convince me that the fertility specialist who told my
that acupuncture "wouldn't make a bit of difference in reducing the size of the
cyst" could not have been more mistaken!

Fibromyalgia

Dear Dr. Chen,
This letter is to thank you for your great work in bringing
my "fibromyalgia" symptoms under control using acupuncture and Chinese herbs.
When I first came to see you in March of this year I was
experiencing extreme fatigue, weakness in my legs and severe problems with
balance. I had been experiencing chronic fatigue for many years due to
fibromyalgia, but during the winter of 1995-1996 the fatigue became much worse
and I also began to find walking increasingly difficult. After receiving
treatments from you my walking improved tremendously; my legs became stronger
balance was greatly improved. Soon I also began to experience a lifting of the
terrible fatigue that had been so severely affecting me. I noticed that I was
able to do more and was much more alert and relaxed, and less hypersensitive to
weather changes. And I no longer feared that I would fall in the streets.
These days I have returned to many of the activities that I
used to enjoy but had to abandon, such as reading for hours at a time and
walking around the city. I have also begun taking art classes, something I had
wanted to do for a long time but was unable to because of my fatigue and
difficulty focusing. Now I am able to function well in class, and I don't feel
exhausted afterwards.
Fibromyalgia is a long-term chronic condition, but I feel
that I have now found an effective way to manage its symptoms and lead a
fulfilling life. I'd like to recommend that persons with fibromyalgia or other
chronic conditions use acupuncture and Chinese herbs, either as adjunct therapy
or as the main therapy of choice. For my condition, it is the only therapy that
has ever substantially helped.

I would like to express my gratitude to you for healing my
kneecap's swelling problem.
I started to have this problem in February 2006. My family
doctor and my orthopaedist were not able to heal it. I was told that the
ultimate solution for it might be a surgical operation. I then came to see Dr.
Chen in mid-April. After 16 treatments of acupuncture and herbal medicine (both
external and internal), my kneecap's swelling has gone. I can now get back my
mobility. An unnecessary surgical operation can now be avoided. I am most

Infertility IVF support
Background and history
This couple had an IVF treatment in October 2005, but it was a failure. They came to me on December 5, 2005, and asked for acupuncture treatments to support the next IVF treatment, which was going to be done in February 2006.
The wife's situation:
She was 38 years old. She had surgery in 1993 to remove an ovarian cyst on her left ovary. She had irregular menstruation and her cycle was long, 2-3 months. She often had right side lower abdominal pain.
The husband's situation:
He had impotence for 3 years. His semen analysis report showed:
- Concentration: 0.02 X10x6/ml (Normal range 20 X 10x6/ml)
- Total sperm count: 0.06 X 10x6 (Normal range 40 X 10x6)
- Motility: 44% (Normal > 50%)
- Morphology: 0 (Normal (> 15)
The meaning of the above is: that his sperms count was much less than normal, about 100 times, the concentration was thin, the activity was, and the sperm were under developed.
They both had acupuncture treatments and were prescribed a Chinese herbal formula from December 5, 2005 to February 20, 2006, three months. They received acupuncture twice a week and took an herbal formula twice a day. They started IVF again and it was successful. The wife delivered a baby on November 16, 2006.
The baby was 6 pounds, 7 ounces (2.9 kilograms), 19 ¾ inches (50.1 centimeters).
Bell's palsy (before and after pictures)

I developed Bell's palsy in August of 2006. My right face was
paralyzed and completely deviated to the left side. I could not move the right
side of my face, my right eye could not open and close, dust could easily go
inside my eye; it was hurting me a lot, and was causing a lot of tears. The
food I ate would stay in the right side of my mouth, and I could not taste the
food, water dropped from my mouth when I drank. It was a terrible time for
me.
In the beginning I went to my doctor, He give me some Antibiotics,
Vitamins and Prednisone, I did not feel any improvement. I came to Dr. Chen
five days after I had these problems. He used acupuncture along with cupping
therapy every other day, and I took the herbal medicine he gave me every day.
It was really magic, I felt better after each treatment. I was completely cured
after 8 treatments within 18 days.
Now my all the symptoms and signs have been relieved. I feel that
everything is normal.

Acne (before and after treatment pictures)
Before meeting Dr. Chen my acne had grown to a stage where my
dermatologist told me "Accutane" was my only hope. By this time, I had already
seen three different dermatologists. The first diagnosed me with "Perioral
Dermatitis" and prescribed antibiotics and topical creams. These creams were
for rosasea and other skin conditions but did not address the internal and
hormonal problem that caused my acne. The second doctor also recommended
antibiotics and cortisone injections. I had weekly micro-dermabrasions, laser
facials, and deep cleansing facials. This aggressive treatment aggravated my
skin instead of improving it and did not stop new acne from forming.
After only one month of acupuncture and herbs with Dr. Chen, I
noticed a 50% improvement in my skin and a significant reduction of new acne.
This was the most significant change I had seen compared to all the other
attempts in the past. Now, at two and a half months I am at 90% improvement.
There is almost no new acne and some discoloration that will fade with
time.
My friends have been so impressed with the dramatic change that
they have become patients of Dr. Chen.

Skin rashes and immune system lower

Dear Dr. Chen,
I am writing to thank you for your amazing work you have done in
my healing and the strengthening of my immune system over the past years. I
arrived in the fall of 2003 with severe skin rashes on my face, chest, hands
and unbearable itching all over my body. My immune system appeared to be
depleted and I struggled with things such as keeping up my energy for basic
activities and exercise (I have always been an extremely active person so this
was difficult for me), pain in my body, and being able to eat foods I'd eaten
for years without an allergic flare-up. I had been prescribed all sorts of
creams and pills by the dermatologist and allergist - I got to one point where
I was on eight different medications per day, but nothing was working to reduce

Psoriasis (before and after treatment pictures)
I have psoriasis for more than 10 years. It started from my both
elbows, and was gradually expand to my lower back, hip, abdomen and legs. I
went to many different doctors, and took a lot of different medicine and cream,
but none of them worked. I felt very itching on the rashes with a lot of white
peelings. The rashes were getting bigger and bigger by each day. I was
distressed and couldn't sleep at night.
My psoriasis is getting much better since I start see Dr. Chen in
August 2006. I felt improvement on my body after each treatment. Dr. Chen gives
me acupuncture treatment one or two times a week and he also made create

The Benefits of Acupuncture
for Singers
My name is Melissa D. Brown and I am the lead singer for
the rock group Oxygen. I have been singing professionally for over thirteen
years. Over time, singing with loud instruments takes its toll on the human
voice. Some singers go to vocal coaches only to be disappointed. Others ignore
problems and damage their voices. I found the best solution for both improving
my performance and preserving my voice to be Acupuncture.
I am currently being treated by Dr. Decheng Chen, and I am
very pleased with the results. I would only recommend this treatment be
performed by an acupuncturist who is experienced with this procedure. The human
vocal chords are very fragile!
The improvements I have experienced are as follows:

Alopecia/hair loss

I have suffered from "Alopecia Totalis" for about 7 years now. Medical Doctors said there is no cure for this auto immune disease. I did not want to accept this, and kept looking for a safe treatment.
My treatment with Dr. Chen started in February 2007. At this point I was completely bald had no hair on my head at all, even my lashes and eyebrows were gone. Now, 4 months later, you can see my lashes are fully grown, my eyebrows are in the come up and I have a fuzzy hairgrowth almost all over my head. I call Dr. Chen the "wonder doctor with magical hands".
I will never forget or regret being treated by Dr. Chen. My parents and I are very thankful for such quick results as many people said it will not work out!!

Lumbar Disc Herniation

Dear Dr. Chen,
I just wanted to thank you for the treatment I received during the last few months for my spinal stenosis (pinched nerve and sciatica). My orthopedist could only recommend epidurals and possible surgery.
I am glad I decided to try acupuncture instead. Before I came here I was unable to sleep because of the constant pain and could only walk short distances with a great deal of pain. I noticed an improvement in my condition after a very short time here and now I am able to walk as far as I want and am able to lie down pain-free. In fact I seem to be improving every day and am almost 100 per cent back to normal.

NECK PAIN

I am a man of 68 years old. I have developed neck pain and stiffness three years ago. I felt my range of motion in my neck has been limited since a month ago. Recently, my neck pain is getting gradually worse. The pain from the neck radiated to left shoulder, back and arm. And sometimes I feel my left fingers becoming numb, also sometimes I have headaches, dizziness, tinnitus, and blurry vision. Ever since one week ago suddenly my left hand was not able to make a fist. My left thumb and index fingers could not form a fist, at the same time my left arm and finger numbness got worse. I underwent an MRI examination: the report showed that my neck's cervical spine has been degenerative changed, disc herniation between C3 and C4 shifted to the left. The doctor suggested that I must have a surgery but I am very afraid and worry a lot because I had lower back disc herniation surgery 5 years ago, but my lower back pain was worse after surgery and I had to have a second surgery. Up till now I still have lower back pain. I was referred by my friend to see Dr. Decheng Chen. He gave me a few acupuncture treatments at his office and then he let me use NeckEase (a kind of product which you use at home twice a day, 30 minutes each time for one month). After the treatments my neck pain almost disappeared. Most importantly is that my left hand was able to form a fist again normally. My left thumb and index finger was able to form a fist just like the right side. At the same time my headache, dizziness, tinnitus and blurry vision also got much better.
